Christmas Carnival Compassion on 22-12-2023: Jesus School’s Heartfelt Response to Tirunelveli Rainfall
“No one has ever become poor by giving. When courage, genius, and generosity hold hands,
all things are possible. It is more rewarding to watch money change the world than to watch
it accumulate. The greatest use of a life is to spend it on something that will outlast it.”
Amidst festive cheer, Jesus School’s Christmas Celebration & Carnival on December 22, 2023, embraced a spirit of compassion. Heavy rainfall in Thirunelveli and Thoothukudi prompted the school to redirect carnival funds to support Tirunelveli-affected people. This decision mirrors the school’s commitment to community well-being. The funds will be directly handed over to the Tirunelveli District Collector. Parents and attendees showed remarkable understanding and cooperation, turning the event into a meaningful gesture of solidarity and support.
We are delighted to share with you the positive outcome of our Carnival Fair initiative.
A total fund of Rs. One Lakh was successfully raised, with Rs. 30,000 allocated to the Francis
Buisson Disability Home for Children and the remaining Rs. 70,000 forwarded to the Tirunelveli
District Collector to aid those affected by heavy rainfall. Your collective generosity and support
have made a meaningful impact, aligning with the values of courage, genius, and generosity.
